we “pLay” it forward
Futzil (futebol + Brazil) began in Brazil and has now become a global non-profit success story. And here’s a bit more history…..
Brazil is internationally recognized for its “futebol” (aka soccer), but many of their youth are held back from reaching their star potential for one very important reason:
41 million Brazilians (~20% total population) live below the World Bank poverty line, living on less than $5.50 USD per day – a number growing larger and expected to get worse.
Staggering indeed. As we evolved, so did our perspective.
Currently, 712 million people, or 9.2% of the world’s population, live in extreme poverty, meaning they earn less than $2.15 USD per day.
We believe equity in youth sports will achieve equity in childhood social experience, physical wellbeing and mental health.
Our organization supports impoverished children across the globe through the donation and funding of athletic shoes, balls, apparel, equipment, AEDs, training sessions, camps, and sustainable field development.
Together we can make a difference.
